Base Coat

This is Step 2 of the Dazzle Dry 4-Step System + Revive. A base coat specifically formulated for natural nails to keep polish lasting longer. Not for use on acrylic or artificial nails.

Directions: Apply two layers to each nail, allowing each coat to dry matte. If Base Coat is cloudy or jelly-like, stand the bottle in one inch of hot water until the product becomes clear. **Do not microwave or submerge in water.

How to

Step 1: Nail Prep Scrub each nail with a lint-free pad thoroughly to remove any oils or lotions.

Step 2: Base Coat Apply two layers to each nail, allowing each coat to dry matte. If Base Coat is cloudy or jelly-like, stand the bottle in one inch of hot water until the product becomes clear. **Do not microwave or submerge in water. 

Step 3: Lacquer Apply two layers of Nail Lacquer to each nail, allowing each layer to dry matte. **Avoid contact with cuticles and skin to prevent lifting.

Step 4: Top Coat Apply one layer of Top Coat to each nail after the Lacquer has dried matte. Wait five minutes—your manicure is done!

+Revive: Add 6-8 drops of Revive to a Top Coat, Transform, or Nail Lacquer whose consistency is too thick. Add more if necessary. 

**DO NOT add Revive to a Base Coat. It will ruin the product. Store with original cap to prevent evaporation from occurring.

For Best Results

  • Step 1: Nail Prep

  • Step 2: Base Coat

    Tip: if cloudy or jelly-like, place the bottle in 1 inch of hot water until clear. Use ¾ inch for Minis. *Do not microwave or fully submerge.*

  • Step 3: Lacquer
    Apply two coats of your favorite color, allowing each to dry.

  • Step 4: Top Coat
    Apply one layer to each nail after the Lacquer has dried matte. Wait five minutes. Your manicure is done!

  • + Revive
    Add Revive to thickened Nail Lacquer, Top Coat, or Transform.
    Tip: Use 6–8 drops for Full-size, 3–4 for mini-size bottles.
    Important: Do NOT add to Base Coat—it will damage the product.

"Ok you have to do the base coat, and apply it correctly. Heat it up till it’s clear and the viscosity is nice and thin. Then do two coats spaced out where it’s fully dry and sort of martinis in between. Cost the “free edge” like the directions say by wrapping g a teeny bit in the end of you nail-trust me—polishes won’t budge this way. And make sure your nail is super clean before you apply. I like to purchase the little lint free cotton squares to apply the Nail Prep step right before. The base coat allows your nail E’s to expand in water/heat/cold etc and is flexible so it doesn’t get micro cracks which cause chips! GENIUS."

Can’t beat this system!

"I am literally obsessed with this nail system. Do you like having your nails done but hate the damage done by salons? Have you tried countless semi cured gel stick ons and other less damaging options to no avail? Look no further! Dazzle dry looks great, lasts (for me) about 2 weeks, is simple to remove without acetone, and quick to apply! I can’t wait to get more colors. Dazzle dry is the end all be all for me. I have applied this system twice. The only “negative” I’ve noticed is that after a few days/week, my nail tips will start to show. I’m thinking this may be due to an application error/something I’m doing wrong. All in all, it doesn’t bother me, it’s just something I’ve noticed."

"One of the best base coats I've used. The drying was very quick so I could move onto the next step quicker than any other product I've tried. "I’ve tried dazzle dry a few times when I get my nails done at the salon. Great alternative to gel! I love being able to remove it with regular remover and it honestly lasts longer than most gel manicures I’ve had without the damaging effects! Base coat

"The base coat is a necessary part of this polish system. The longest so far I've gone between new polish is 15 days so far, so it definitely works! I'm curious tho, after every new polish set I put on, after 2-3 days the very tips of my nails lose their color. BUT then there is no more polish loss, it stays on until I remove it with nail polish remover! I've read another review or two with this same complaint! I make very sure to follow the directions 100%, so not sure why it happens. Over all its an amazing product and my nails are SO long!"

"i am one of those whose nails peel when I use the base coat so I have a love/hate relationshi with it. I've never had manicures that last as long as those I do with DD base coat - it's the secret sauce and that part I love. But I haven't yet found a way to avoid the peeling and I've tried every recommendation I've seen"

I just opened up a brand new base coat. When I applied it, and painted the nail with it, as I lifted the brush off the nail, the polish formed a string. This happened with each nail. It is a brand new bottle. What should I do?
